Super Mario EncyclopediaDark Horse is following up their lucrative Legend of Zelda, Splatoon and Fire Emblem Awakening art books with a Super Mario Encyclopedia on Oct. 23.

The $39.99, 256-page hardcover is now available for preorder from Amazon.

The Super Mario Encyclopedia covers 17 games in Nintendo’s iconic flagship franchise, spanning more than three decades — from the original Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario 3D World.

(The most recent adventure, the Switch’s expansive Super Mario Odyssey, will have to be chronicled in a future volume for us to buy, I guess.)

From a Dark Horse product description:

Track the evolution of the Goomba, witness the introduction of Yoshi, and relive your favorite levels. This tome also contains an interview with producer Takashi Tezuka, tips to help you find every coin, star, sun, and mushroom — even explanations of glitches! With information on enemies, items, obstacles, and worlds from over thirty years of Mario, Super Mario Encyclopedia is the definitive resource for everything Super Mario!

“Dark Horse is incredibly proud to continue our partnership with Nintendo,” said Dark Horse president and founder Mike Richardson in a news release. “Together, we’ve produced beautiful art books to honor the ground-breaking games Nintendo’s created. We’re proud to give fans another way to appreciate the material.”

Will you be adding the Super Mario Encyclopedia to your collection?
