A pair of books for young readers will explore the lives of several Rogue One characters before they joined the Rebellion.
Guardians of the Whills and Rebel Rising both release May 2 in hardcover.
Rebel Rising
Beth Revis’ contribution for ages 12 and older is a 416-page book about the formative years of Rogue One’s main character:

Greg Rucka’s entry, for ages 9-12, clocks in at 240 pages. It tells the story of the two brave heroes who will later join Jyn on her vital mission:

Then the Empire came and took over the planet. The temple was destroyed and the people scattered. Then a man named Saw Gerrera arrives, with a militia of his own and grand plans to take down the Empire. It seems like the perfect way for Baze and Chirrut to make a real difference and help the people of Jedha live better lives. But will it come at too great a cost?
