Schwarzenegger returning for Conan sequel … or reboot … or something

Conan the Barbarian promo image by Renato CasaroDeadline reports that Arnold Schwarzenneger is returning to the role that made him an action star in The Legend of Conan. It sounds like the film will be a direct follow-up to 1982’s Conan the Barbarian and totally ignore the 1984 sequel, Conan the Destroyer — not to mention 2011’s reboot starring Stargate Atlantis strongman Jason Momoa.

But the new film, featuring a Conan that has aged in real time, may be less sequel than reboot itself. Either way, The Legend of Conan sort of revives a hoped-for return to the role by Schwarzenegger earlier this decade for the abandoned project King Conan. Maybe.

How does this barbaric development make you feel?
