Did you know there’s a calendar right here on Nerdvana where you can scope out the local convention scene and find other geeky events going on in the metro Phoenix area?
I’ve used this page for some time to compile the big local fan events, but only recently have I added a Google Calendar tool that is fed by the greater wisdom of the Valley pop culture community. On that page found in the top menu bar under “Events” (and in a smaller list format in the right-hand sidebar) you’ll find a running feed of events from sources like Nerdvana, Best of East Valley winners Evermore Nevermore and Jonathan Simon of the blog Lightning Octopus, Gangplank, Steam Crow, and Mesa newcomers The Royale, Gotham City Comics & Coffee and Samurai Comics.
If that’s just too much crowdsourced geekery to handle, you can filter out specific sources using the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of the calendar. And if you maintain a Google Calendar that you think belongs with the rest of them, let us know!
