The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Writers announced the nominees for the 2015 Saturn Awards on Tuesday. Up for the most awards in many categories are Captain America: The Winter Soldier and television’s Walking Dead. Entertainment Weekly has the full breakdown. Awards will be presented June 25.
The nominees for the 2014 Nebula Awards also were announced recently by the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America. Up for the Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation are Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Edge of Tomorrow, Guardians of the Galaxy, Interstellar and The Lego Movie.
Nominated for best novel in the Nebulas are The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison, Trial by Fire by Charles E. Gannon, Ancillary Sword by Ann Leckie, The Three-body Problem by Cixin Liu, Coming Home by Jack McDevitt and Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. The full list of nominees in all categories, including novella, novelette, short story and the Andre Norton Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy, can be found online. Winners will be announced at the SFWA’s annual conference June 4-7 in Chicago.
