The Last Unicorn, the classic 1982 animated fantasy film directed by Jules Bass and Arthur Rankin, Jr., and featuring the voices of Alan Arkin, Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow, Angela Lansbury, and Christopher Lee, will be screened and fans can meet Peter S. Beagle, the author of the original story the movie is based on.

“I’m excited to be going out on the road with the film,” says The Last Unicorn Author-Screenwriter Peter S. Beagle, who will be at every screening to do an audience Q&A session, meet fans, and sign books. “When I began work on this story, just over 50 years ago, I never imagined it would go on to reach so many people, or affect them so deeply. It’s a little hard for me to believe, actually. But still, there’s just nothing like getting a chance to share these characters directly with others who love them as much as I do.”

The screenings will be:

Monday 1/20, 7 PM: the GATEWAY 12 in MESA, AZ

1935 South Signal Butte Road, Mesa, AZ 85209. (480) 354-8030.

1325 North Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85395. (623) 535-4000.
