The nominees for the 2013 Hugo Awards were announced Saturday at four simultaneous sci-fi conventions. Winners will be announced Sept. 1 in San Antonio.
Three of Steven Moffat’s Doctor Who scripts, “The Angels Take Manhattan,” “Asylum of the Daleks” and “The Snowmen,” are up for best short-form dramatic presentation, along with the Fringe episode “Letters of Transit,” written by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and more, and George R.R. Martin’s script for the Game of Thrones episode “Blackwater.”
Long-form dramatic presentation honors await either The Avengers, The Cabin in the Woods, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hunger Games or Looper.
