Ready Player OneReady Player One

Ernie Cline’s pop culture mega-mashup is coming to the big screen March 30, 2018, with a dose of Steven Spielberg movie magic.

The 2011 novel centers on humanity’s desperation to escape the desolation of dystopian 2045 Earth using a virtual reality world called the OASIS, whose recently deceased creator has left behind a quest full of classic gaming and movie references ultimately leading to the keys to his fortune.

Ready Player One isn’t without its flaws, but it’s a fun read that was a massive bestseller and served as inspiration to VR designers of the real world. Moreover, our real world is sometimes feeling a little dystopian itself these days and maybe we could use some escape of our own. Buy it now on Amazon.
