Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is heading Down Under.
An Australian production of the show will open at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre sometime in 2019. The exact opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but director John Tiffany will be heading to Australia early next year to start the casting process, according to a video announcing the move.

Australia will be the third continent where the play will be on stage. The original production is still running in London’s West End; previews for the New York version, which will feature seven original cast members from the London show, start in March.
Speaking of that New York show: The first round of tickets to go on sale have already been snapped up, but the production promises more chances to buy tickets before the curtain rises on previews.
