Forget spring — winter is coming when Game of Thrones returns April 1

Classic Dungeons & Dragons back in print! - Available now @ Dungeon Masters Guild

I’m a latecomer to Game of Thrones fandom, but moving and switching cable carriers brings with it the blessing of free premium channels (for a time), so this weekend I devoured the entire first season of HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy epic. Which, incidentally, you can also purchase on Blu-ray and DVD now.

The good thing about being late to the party (as I was with Downton Abbey) is that you have less time to wait before the second season arrives. And after watching the trailer below, April 1 cannot come soon enough! It’s like a dire groundhog cast a shadow that means we’re in for an even longer winter than we thought!

And if you just don’t see what all the fuss is about — you’re wrong. This Simpsons couch gag based on the Game of Thrones opening titles is proof of that.
