CopperCon 32, sponsored by the Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society, will be Aug. 31 to Sept. 3 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Avondale. Advance tickets sales have ended, so memberships cost $55 at the door. Youths 7-12 get in for half price and children 6 and younger are free.
The author guest of honor is novelist and RPG designer Ari Marmell (pictured). James Owen is the local author guest of honor. Filk guest of honor is Chris Dickensen. Pat Connors is fan guest of honor.

Programming includes a discussion of the next Star Trek movie as well as science panels such as NASA’s Curiosity rover mission on Mars, the Dawn mission with background on asteroids and ion drive and moon missions old and new. There will also be round-the-clock gaming with Todd Van Hooser’s Laughing Moon RPG system, Steve Jackson Games, Magic tournaments, LARPing and more. $25 gaming-only memberships are available at the door and in advance.
