Borders, which is entering bankruptcy and closing many of its stores, will begin clearance sales Saturday — at least at its Chandler location off Ray Road between Interstate 10 and 56th St.

Discounts will be 20 percent to 40 percent, with “limited exceptions.”

  • I just heard the same thing from the Scottsdale Waterfront (Fashion Square) location. Though this may have been looming for a long time, and even though I heard Borders filed Chapter 11, I never expected them to close so many stores in the valley.
