Borders begins final round of store closeouts

After failing to attract any bidders in bankruptcy, Borders’ liquidation has begun with sales of up to 40 percent off the original price of remaining stock. It’s the last chance to use “Borders Bucks,” which expire at the end of this month,” as well as any Borders or Waldenbooks gift cards you may still have lying around. Some locations will event be selling off fixtures.

In the Valley, the only remaining locations after Borders’ last round of store closures are at Superstition Springs Center in Mesa, Arrowhead Mall in Glendale, Fountain Square in north Phoenix and Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
