BOOM! losing Disney titles to Marvel?

Books Comics

Disney may be in the process of moving its comic book business back in-house to live under its Marvel banner.

A recent lack of Diamond Previews listings for such longtime successful BOOM! Studios titles as Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge and Mickey Mouse suggests the change, according to a report by ICv2.

For now, BOOM! seems to still be soliciting its Disney Afternoon-inspired titles such as Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck and the recently announced DuckTales (woo-hoo!).

It’s probably a sound business decision to keep it in the family — but BOOM! has been a good custodian, while it has lasted.
