Dungeons and Dragons’ next big storyline includes Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus, a devilish adventure for levels 1-13 that you can pre-order now.

Welcome to Baldur’s Gate, a city of ambition and corruption situated at the crossroads of the Sword Coast. You’ve just started your adventuring career, but already find yourself embroiled in a plot that sprawls from the shadows of Baldur’s Gate to the front lines of the planes-spanning Blood War! Do you have what it takes to turn infernal war machines and nefarious contracts against the archdevil Zariel and her diabolical hordes? And can you ever hope to find your way home safely when pitted against the infinite evils of the Nine Hells?

D&D Beyond

Continuing a recent trend, Descent Into Avernus will get a game store-exclusive cover featuring the skull symbol of Bhaal.

Amazon also lists a “dice and miscellany set” of some kind with few details so far.

It looks like the storyline and products leaked ahead of today’s big livestream reveal.

Morrus’ ENWorld has more details such as a Sept. 17 release date and $50 suggested price, as well as a new $25 “Essentials Kit” introductory product coming to North American Target stores June 24 and everywhere else Sept. 3.

Dungeons and Dragons vs. Rick and Morty

There’s also official information about these products as well as a “Battle for Baldur’s Gate” expansion for the Dungeon Mayhem card game, and a “Dungeons & Dragons vs. Rick & Morty” boxed-set adventure spinoff of last year’s popular comic book mashup of the venerable tabletop roleplaying game and the subversive Adult Swim cartoon series.

These items don’t have release dates yet.

The Rick and Morty set has the potential to bring an entirely new generation of players into the D&D game, much like the recently released Stranger Things-themed alternate starter set.

UPDATE: At the end of the weekend, an Eberron campaign setting hardcover release was announced to cap off this year’s lineup.

What part of this new line of D&D products are you looking forward to the most?
