The Art of Bravely DefaultBravely Default, Nintendo’s 3DS Japanese roleplaying game, may not have a proper collectible strategy guide like the JRPGs of old, but it does have a stunning new art book coming to English collectors for the first time next winter.

Dark Horse Books is partnering again with Square Enix to present The Art of Bravely Default, a faithful localization of original Japanese content that allows readers to explore the story and art behind the game. It features hundreds of pieces of concept art and conversational commentary directly from the creative team.

The first of a two-volume series, this collection explores concepts and creativity from the first entry in the standalone Bravely series.

The book follows the heroes’ journey through the fantastic world Luxendarc to awaken the four elemental crystals that keep their world in balance from all-consuming darkness, and allows fans to experience the critically acclaimed game in a whole new way.

The hardcover Art of Bravely Default goes on sale February 5, 2019 and is available for preorder at Amazon and Barnes & Noble for $39.99.
