A Study in Sherlock group signing

Books, Events, Sci-Fi & Fantasy

One of the oldest fandoms around is that of fans of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, and Leslie Klinger and Laurie R. King have gathered together new stories from Holmes fans who are also writers for the new anthology A Study in Sherlock.  Klinger and King will be at The Poisoned Pen for a group signing for the collection on Saturday, November 19th along with contributors Thomas Perry, Dana Stabenow, and Jacqueline Winspear. Copies have already been signed by S. J. Rozan at a recent appearance  and contributor Margaret Maron will be at the store on December 4th.  Other contributors include Neil Gaiman, Lee Child, Charles Todd, and Laura Lippman.

I saw Neil read his story a couple of weeks ago at the World Fantasy Convention, and his tale delves into Holmes’ beekeeping fascination and what happens when he goes to China to work with some special bees.

The collection is available in a trade paperback edition from Bantam, as well as a hardback edition published by Poisoned Pen Press.  The response to this collection has been strong enough that Bantam has asked for a second collection, which will be called Another Study in Sherlock. For more information on the collection, including some essays from the contributors, visit the A Study in Sherlock website.

The signing will start at 6 pm at The Poisoned Pen, 4014 N Goldwater Blvd # 101, Scottsdale, AZ 85251-4344.  If you can’t make the event, you can place an order by calling them at (480) 947-2974 or visit PoisonedPen.com .
