Entertainment Weekly this week gave us our first official “in-character” images from the Hobbit movies now in production in New Zealand. It’s nothing Middle-earth-shattering: They show Martin Freeman as reluctant adventurer Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey. There’s also a photo from the set of director Peter Jackson huddled at a Bag End table with Freeman, no doubt discussing hobbity things.
