According to IF Magazine, a movie based on the canceled but insanely popular CBS drama Jericho is on the way.
The series’ executive producer and director Jon Turteltaub said former stars (which include Skeet Ulrich and Gerald McRaney) would return, and he told IF’s Carl Cortez: “It would not require you to have seen the TV show, but it get into life after an event like this on a national scale. It would be the bigger, full on American version of what’s going on beyond the town in Jericho.”
Jericho is the story of life after a nuclear holocaust, specifically life in a fictional Kansas town of the same name. It was canceled after one season then brought back due to a spirited fan campaign, which failed to save the show a second time shortly thereafter. It has aired in reruns on Sci Fi Channel and The CW, as well as on CBS’s YouTube channel.
