Star Wars Rebels: The Inquisitor

Lucasfilm held a panel Saturday at New York Comic Con for Star Wars Rebels, and the big reveal from the event was the Inquisitor, a black-clad figure “tasked by Darth Vader to hunt down the remaining Jedi Knights.”

The panel, seen partly in the video below, focuses mainly on the fact that the shift to the Rebellion era allows the Empire to return in a big way. Also, it makes clear just how much of executive producer Dave Filoni’s team from The Clone Wars comprises the Rebels staff.

Speaking of the canceled Clone Wars, Filoni recently tweeted that the remnants of that series have been finished and will see screen time somehow, somewhere in early 2014. This will apparently involve a solo mission for Master Yoda.

Star Wars Rebels is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special on Disney Channel followed by a series on Disney XD.
