This new kind of “rigid aircraft” (not a blimp) highlighted on Gizmodo bears more than a passing resemblance to the large transports seen floating and moored around the galactic capital Coruscant in the Star Wars prequels (and Return of the Jedi’s Special Edition). The fictional craft was designed by conceptual artist Doug Chiang while the real vehicle, described both as a commercial and military people mover and cargo ship, is from a company called Aeros.
