Maul Wars: Sidious, Kenobi take notice of Sith’s vengeful machinations

Featured, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Television

There’s a LOT going on in Saturday’s new episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as you can see in the three clips above. First, Obi-Wan Kenobi finally enters the fray to rescue his old friend Duchess Satine as Darth Maul’s trap closes — and it looks like he’s teaming up with Bo Katan, who along with some loyal Death Watch members turned on the Sith after he challenged Pre Vizsla to single combat, and won, completing his takover of Mandalore. Then, Darth Sidious appears “in the flesh” for the first time in the series to finally address his resurgent former apprentice. And Anakin Skywalker’s junky ship the Twilight returns for the first time since Season 2. She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts… Look for a cartoonish illustration of the young Skywalker as a boy podracer on the battered spacecraft.

With Duchess Satine as bait, the vengeful Darth Maul lures Obi-Wan into a trap. Drunk with power, Maul declares himself the true Sith Lord, a claim that will not go unanswered in “The Lawless” airing this Saturday, February 2nd at 9:30am ET/PT on Cartoon Network.
