While all the cool kids are watching an Earth sport known as football during Super Bowl 47 on Feb. 3, I know I won’t be alone in unearthing secrets from the upcoming new Star Trek movie. It’s only logical.

At CES last week, Qualcomm and Paramount Pictures announced a new downloadable app that will unlock content from May 17’s Star Trek: Into Darkness by scanning print and televised content about the film — starting with a TV spot for the film during the big game’s second quarter. We don’t yet know what platform the app will support (iOS and Android, I presume?), but you can sign up for notifications here.
