Battlefront back-and-forth continues

Star Wars: Battlefront III maybe the ultimate in vaporware — never officially announced, it may not even have existed. But a claim last week that it was “99% complete” when scrubbed has sparked a response this week from an anonymous LucasArts developer that alleges all sorts of shenanigans akin to a “Ponzi scheme” involving the juggling of project resources to benefit other games under development. It all sounds very similar to what happened at Arizona’s own questionable video game development company, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, and its repeated failure with another sci-fi franchise, Stargate. Read more about the Battlefield III debacle over at GameSpot.
