Voyage Trekkers returning for a 2nd season

Voyage Trekkers is returning for a second season of cosmic comedy starting May 1 with 10 weekly episodes. Here are two clips that showcase the Arizona-grown sci-fi satire’s sensational sense of humor.

“We’re so excited to show everyone Season Two,” said creator Nathan Blackwell in a statement. “From the bridge set, to scoring the season premiere with a fifty-nine-piece orchestra, we’ve tried to raise the bar on what people expect from independent sci-fi web series.”

Created by Nathan Blackwell and Craig Michael Curtis and produced by their production company Squishy Studios and Executive Producer Tray Goodman’s Goodman Creative Minds Media, Voyage Trekkers stars Adam Rini as Captain Sunstrike, Logan Blackwell as Commander Powell and Gabrielle Van Buren as Doctor Rena. Special effects are supervised by David Stipes, whose credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, the original Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
