Actress, singer and voice artist Nichelle Nichols, who broke racial barriers again and again on the original Star Trek as Lt. Uhura, will attend Phoenix Comicon in May, becoming the last of the surviving main cast to join the party.

Nichols’ appearance caps off the first round of guest announcements for the May 23-26, 2013, event at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency. Click here for more guest announcements.

You should also note that full event memberships are only $40 through Dec. 31. After that, the price goes up to $50 through May 23 and then $60 at the door.
