3DS, Books, Gaming, Movies, Music, Nintendo, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Science, Television, Wii

We lost some great performers, artists and publications this year. This is far from a complete list — just a look at those we covered here on Nerdvana in 2012:

Nintendo Power magazine (1988-2012)

Neil Armstrong (first human to walk on the moon)

Mary Tamm (the first Romana on Doctor Who)

Ray Bradbury (genre-defining sci-fi author)

Ralph McQuarrie (Boeing artist whose work on Star Wars defined the saga’s visual style and launched his career as a conceptual artist for Hollywood blockbusters)

Davy Jones (Monkees singer)
